Take Me ThereBy: Hallie Ward
Will you take me there; that place so far away from this world,
Where silence masters the noise and I become your little girl.
Where strife and toil become a memory placed on a shelf.
Where forget I am alive, for I am focused on Life himself.
Take me to that place where peace is a King,
Where angels usher me in, and all I can do is sing.
Lost in the moment, in the reality of everything you are,
Troubles are lost, and my dreams are not so far.
Will you take me there; that place where I become clean,
Where doubt and fear vanish, and visions become seen.
Where you sweep away the opinions, and I can hear clearly,
The voice of my Maker speaking, whispering to me gently.
With every word I find who I am again, the apple of Your eye,
With each truth spoken, it begins to sweep away the lies.
Show me, Father; take me to that place,
Where deep cries out to deep and we meet face to face.
Open up my heart and set aside my mind,
So revelation can enter in and I won’t be so blind.
Show me your world Jesus, where the least of these is you,
Where I become humbled and my words become few.
Where you became the victim of our pride and our anger,
And all in love, you put your life in danger.
Take me there Father, where your children find their worth,
Where their unseen acts become known and are seen as great works.
Where the untouchable are found to be more beautiful than gold,
And the hungry are filled with the riches of old.
Take me there, Father, I want to know your heart,
I want to learn from the one who first became set apart.
Take my hidden things and reveal them to me gently,
For I will hold them high so you can take them from me.
Will you Father, can you please show me the way?
Pass the pride and the arrogance of speaking my name.
Away from the lies and selfish ambition,
Where integrity rules and unity creates vision.
Will you help me find you Father, every part of who you are?
The same person that placed and named each and every star?
Will you point to the hidden truths that you have placed in my heart?
Will you lead me to the heavenlies, where your glory isn’t so far.
On my knees I seek you, in my heart I pray,
That I hold fast to your spirit each and every day.
Remind me of the torment, remind me of what you went through,
To show me a love that the world never knew.
Take me in, and renew my mind,
And in your presence, peace I will find.
Take me there.
How beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us over at THANKFUL THURSDAY today Julie! Blessings.
